Mac OS X Snow Leopard install tutorial for Sony Vaio VPC-EB1S1E/BJ
This Vaio has a cool UEFI based BIOS that you access by pressing the access button while the machine is powered off. Access the BIOS by pressing F2 and make 2 changes. The boot order where Unibeast can boot before your hard drive and 'UEFI' to 'Legacy' (Without doing so you will be unable to boot from the UniBeast installer). I'd probably just install Windows 7. It's an excellent operating system and will be less troublesome to get running. At the moment I'm using 'Hackintosh' 10.5.6 along with Win7 build 7000 on my PC while waiting for the Windows 7 release candidate before installing it on my new 1TB drive. Anyways, i have been trying to install OS X on my Sony VAIO E series (VPCEH18FG) and had been successful to. Mac OS X launched on March 24, 2001. The 1990s were rough for Apple. Until 1997, when Steve Jobs took the helm again, the company attempted to right itself by creating a plethora of CE products.
installing OS X and Booting up
Important Note: This guide will teach you how to install Mac OS X on Sony Vaio VPC-EB1S1E/BJ and also this tutorial works on most i3, i5 & i7 Vaios. This tutorial is for single boot Mac OS X only and it will not include dual booting for Mac OS X and Windows 7.
Requirements:
Vaio Mac Os Update
Sony Vaio laptop VPC-EB1S1E/BJ
USB Mouse
iBoot Legacy CD from Tony Mac X86 (Thanks TonyMacX86)
Snow Leopard Retail Install DVD or USB (Buy official version)
Step 1: Put CD in your drive and plug in your USB flash drive
Step 2: Power up your Vaio and wait for CD to boot. (If CD does not boot, check your BIOS settings for boot device order. Make optical disk drive first boot device.)

Step 3: After booting with iBoot Legacy, choose Mac OS X Snow Leopard Install from the menu. (If you are not using USB for OS X install, remove the iBoot Legacy CD and put OS X install DVD than press F5 to refresh iBoot's menu)
Step 4: Use '-v busratio=17 graphicsenabler=no' kernel flags to boot into OS X installation. Simply read kernel logs for error checking, if you come up with an error or stuck at any position use Google for searching solutions.
Step 5: Follow installation steps and use Disk Utility to re-partition your HDD, use GUID partition table. Uncheck stupid stuff from customize menu.
Step 6: After completion of the installation progress reboot your computer and select Mac OS X disk from iBoot menu, use '-v busratio=17' kernel flags to make the OS boot :)

Calav mac os. I find this a bit hard to swallow. In 1997, after returning to Apple, Jobs killed the Mac clone program implemented by former CEO Gil Amelio. The program was intended to expand the market penetration of the Mac. Meadows mac os. From 1995 through mid-1997 companies such as Power Computing, Motorola, Radius, DayStar, and UMAX made desktops running Mac OS X (no Mac laptop clone ever saw the light of day).
However, there was no evidence that the clone program expanded the Mac market. Mac clones only seemed to cannibalize Mac sales. In 1997, Jobs ceased negotiations of upcoming licensing deals with OS licensees. Since the clone makers' licenses were valid only for Mac OS 7, Apple's release of Mac OS 8 left the clone manufacturers without the ability to ship a current Mac OS version and effectively killed the cloning program.
At the time Jobs didn't want to license Apple's 'crown jewels.' It's hard to believe that, admiration for Sony or not, he'd want to make an exception in their case regarding Mac clones.
(By the way, Sony sold its PC business to the investment firm Japan Industrial Partners in February 2014 as part of a restructuring effort.)
